Where is Water Pollution Happening?

EVERYWHERE! Water pollution occurs in many locations, impacting inland waters like lakes, rivers, and groundwater. It is a worldwide problem, and local places are showing how serious this issue can become. In Flint, Michigan, USA, the city switched its water source in 2014 to save money but didn't treat the new supply properly or have proper corrosion control. As a result, the lead from old pipes drained into the water, affecting thousands of residents, including many children with long-term health issues like learning disabilities.
Another example is The Camelford Water Pollution Incident in the UK(United Kingdom). In 1988, a delivery driver mistakenly tipped 20 tonnes of aluminum sulfate into the water tank. People suffered immediate and long-term health effects, including skin rashes and diarrhea.
In developing nations, entire communities often depend on rivers and lakes for everything—bathing, cooking, cleaning, etc. If pollution enters their water source, it would be a daily crisis.
